What do you do?
I am the Director of Customer Intelligence for Coca-Cola Customer Business Solutions. My background is in marketing and business intelligence. Outside of work, in 2006, I released my first country music album, “Saturday in the South!” Recorded in Nashville, I am using my first album to raise money for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta through the Makin’ Magic Happen Campaign for Kids. This year, I released my first book on leadership and personal branding entitled, “Make It Happen! Live Out Your Personal Brand”. This book provides advice for how to live out your personal brand in everyday life and I am using the book to raise money for the United Service Organizations (USO). Tell us about your new book.
Do you make things happen?! Are you an authentic leader? Are you able to define your personal brand? How do you live out your personal brand each day?
Life experiences combined with your own interpersonal traits, collectively emote a personal brand — something nebulous yet completely comprehendible. A concept that when understood, is powerful in both personal and professional endeavors. Hence the purpose of this book.
Decisions you make as a teenager, you manage as a young adult. Decisions you make in college, you manage as a single professional. Understanding your personal brand and how you can increase / decrease its value based on life decisions is essential - at any age.
The book chapters depict many life lessons, words of advice and a few stories that tie directly to a personal brand model – the Live It Out (LIO) model. Key messages within the book link to one of the cornerstone focus areas within the model including Self, Faith, Community, Family, Work/Career, and Outside Influences.
Why did you write it?
I am passionate about the concept of leadership and personal branding. I have learned a great deal from my experiences in consulting and within a “large” company and I want to share some of my life lessons to assist others in future life decisions. I also want to encourage individuals to pursue their creative interests and passions in life!!
What makes you an expert in your field?
My experience working with diverse individuals in many industries at all levels of business management and having various backgrounds, experiences, values and beliefs allow me to share an “encompassing” perspective!
What type of people should read your book?
The Target Audience for this book spans a number of consumer demographic groups and spans multiple distribution channels. Key audience targets include:
• Young professionals or those entering college / new to the workforce

Advice for Teens or Parents of Teens

I wrote an entire section for my book around my experiences in college. That section did not make the “cut” for the book but will be available on my web site in the coming months!
